Keep in mind that the roads on Schinousa can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully! Additionally, there is a bus that runs between the main villages of Chora and Mersini, which is a convenient option if you don't want to drive. Finally, there are water taxis available to take you to remote beaches or neighboring islands in the Small Cyclades. Regardless of how you choose to get around, the breathtaking beauty of Schinousa is worth the journey.
The nearest airport to Schinousa is Naxos Island National Airport (JNX). From there, you can take a ferry to Schinousa. Ferries depart from the port of Naxos Town, which is just a 10-minute drive from the airport. There are several ferry companies that operate services between Naxos Town and Schinousa, including Blue Star Ferries and Aegean Speed Lines. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can fly into Athens International Airport (ATH) and then take a ferry from Piraeus or Rafina to Schinousa.
